Christmas Sing Along

Great fun for the children while learning English!

If you are looking for a creative way to inspire your pupils to learn English, try a Sing Along. Throughout the month of December, you may book our Christmas Sing Along for performances at your school. The event is geared towards German speaking children in grades 1 through 3 who are learning English as a second language. Specifically, the Chistmas Sing Along entails the following:

• Two native English speaking performers will lead the children through 10 different Christmas songs and corresponding movements. One of the performers will offer musical accompaniment on the guitar; the other explanations in German when necessary.


• The school will be provided with photocopiable song sheets one week prior to the event. The song sheets will contain the lyrics, notes, and corresponding movements in English. The teachers may then introduce the children to the songs prior to the day of the event, if desired.


• The event duration is roughly 40 minutes. During the first 30 minutes, the songs & corresponding movements will be formally introduced and practiced. The last 10 to 15 minutes of the event will be a true, straight out "Sing Along," the goal being that the children will, by that point, know the lyrics and movements by heart.


• As a surpise reward for their participation, the children will be given a small Christmas candy surprise at the conclusion of the event.
