Events for School Groups
The mornings Monday through Friday between 10:00 am & 12:00 am have been set aside for school groups to attend a Storytime as a class. A native English-speaking Storyteller engages the children in a one hour journey involving 2-3 thematically related stories as well as songs, games, and discussion. If you are covering a special topic or theme that week, let us know, and we can make book selections in keeping with that theme. The storyteller includes short explanations in German when needed.
Please register a week prior to the event
- EUR 3.50 per child (includes cookies and a beverage if desired)
- Group maximum: 28 children
- Group minimum: 10 children
In addition to the Storytime Program mentioned above, we also offer additional programs for children:
- Storytimes in German: same program as above, simply in German
- Sing Alongs: a musician or musicians lead(s) the children, with guitar accompaniment, through a one hour musical journey filled with lively children's songs, encouraging participation and "singing along." Offered in English, in German or an English/German mix
- Readings by select children's book authors: Allow us to assist you in reserving a key author for that special school event
If desired, we can also arrange for the above events to take place at your school or at another location. Pricing for this is available upon request.
